Delivery of Lifting Equipment in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania
Can you get it to where I am, and what does that cost?
In Nairobi, within about 20 km, a rider brings small loads to your site. Heavy or long loads go on a van. Anywhere else in Kenya, goods go by courier or bus parcel to the town you name. Uganda goes by road through Malaba or Busia. Tanzania goes through Namanga or Holili. Both are quoted per consignment. The delivery cost is on your quote before you pay.

Four ways it reaches you
Tell us the town in your first message. The delivery method and cost come back with the price.
Where it goes and how it moves
| Destination | How it moves | What changes the cost |
|---|---|---|
| Nairobi, within about 20 km | Rider for small loads. Van or pickup for heavy or long loads | Weight and length together. A short coil fits on a rider. A 60 m drum does not |
| Thika, Machakos, Kitengela, Ngong, Naivasha | Van or courier | Distance, and whether someone is on site to receive it |
| Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret | Courier to a depot, or bus parcel | Weight, and whether you collect from the depot or want it at your door |
| Smaller upcountry towns | Bus parcel to the stage you name | Whether a bus goes there directly or the load changes bus once |
| Uganda, through Malaba or Busia | Road freight, per consignment | Duty, clearing and the town. Kampala and a border town cost differently |
| Tanzania, through Namanga or Holili | Road freight, per consignment | Duty, clearing and the town. Arusha is close. Dar es Salaam and Mwanza are far |
Outside Nairobi
Do you deliver lifting equipment outside Nairobi?
Yes. Anywhere in Kenya goes by courier or bus parcel to the town you name. Towns near Nairobi, like Thika, Machakos, Kitengela, Ngong and Naivasha, go by van or courier.
Major towns
Do you deliver to Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru and Eldoret?
Yes. They go by courier to a depot, or by bus parcel. Both options go on the quote. Smaller towns go by bus parcel to the stage you name.
What decides the cost
How much does delivery cost?
It depends on weight, length and distance. A box of shackles goes on a bike. A 60 m drum of wire rope needs a van.
A town on a regular bus or courier route costs less to reach.
What is on the quote
The delivery cost is on the quote, next to the goods. You see it before you pay.
If a slower route costs less, we put both on the quote and you choose.
Crossing into Uganda
Can you deliver lifting equipment to Uganda?
Yes. Goods go by road through Malaba or Busia, quoted per consignment.
Name the town, not just the country. Kampala, Jinja and a border town are three different quotes.
The paperwork is settled for each load. We confirm the transit to you before you pay.
Crossing into Tanzania
Can you deliver lifting equipment to Tanzania?
Yes. Goods go by road through Namanga or Holili, quoted per consignment.
Arusha and Moshi are close to the border. Dar es Salaam and Mwanza are further, and are quoted differently.
The town, the duty and the clearing are settled on the quote before anything moves.
Who clears it
Who clears the goods at the border?
A licensed clearing agent does it. The licence is theirs, not ours.
We agree who the agent is before you pay. We also agree whether you pay the duty or it goes into the price.
If you already use an agent at your border, tell us their name and we hand the goods to them.
When it moves
How long does delivery take?
We quote the lead time for your item on the day you ask. The delivery time is added on top. Both are on the same quote.
We do not publish one fixed time, because a shackle and a chain sling do not take the same time to get.
