How We Work: Quoting, Lead Time and Payment
How do I actually order from you?
Send one WhatsApp message with the item, the size and the quantity. We send back a written quote with the size, grade, lead time and delivery cost. You pay. We deliver in Nairobi. Outside Nairobi, it goes by courier, bus parcel or your own transporter. There is no shop to visit.

You do not need to visit, fill in a form or open an account.
What to put in the message
What information do you need to give me a price?
Send the item and size, the quantity, where it is going and when you need it. Each line below saves a back-and-forth. A full message gets a quote back. A message with one line gets a question back.

Lead time
What is your lead time?
We quote the lead time for your item on the day you ask. It is on the quote before you pay.
A shackle and a chain sling do not take the same time to get. Both can change with the exchange rate, the port and the maker's production.
The quote
What does your quote include?
The item, its size and grade, the standard it is made to if it has one, the lead time and the delivery cost. You see all of it before you pay.
Write in English or Kiswahili, whichever is faster for you.
The date on your quote is the one we work to. If it changes, we tell you as soon as we know.
Delivery
Do you have a shop I can visit?
No. There is no shop or counter. We deliver instead. In Nairobi, we bring it to your site. Outside Nairobi, it goes by courier, bus parcel or a transporter you name. The cost is on the quote before you pay.

If something is wrong
What if the item is the wrong size or arrives damaged?
Tell us before you use it. If it is the wrong size, the wrong grade or damaged on the way, send a photo on the same WhatsApp thread the quote came from. We deal with it from there.
The thread is the record. Everything we have quoted you stays in it.
Payment
How do I pay, and how do I know the account is really yours?
Payment is in full, before the goods leave. We do not supply on credit.
Payment details come on your quote, in the same WhatsApp thread we have been using. We will never send them from a different number. We will never message you to say the account has changed.
If you get either message, it is not us. Check on the thread you already have before you pay anything.
What we will not do
Will you tell me the working load limit for my lift?
No. We do not calculate working load limits. That is the job of the person in charge of the lift. A number from a supplier does not replace that.
We only share a certificate we have been given, and we never certify anything ourselves. If the maker's document exists, it comes to you with the goods.
Invoice and VAT
Do you charge VAT, and do I get an eTIMS invoice?
We do not charge VAT, so there is nothing to withhold. The total on your quote is what you pay.
Every order comes with an eTIMS invoice. Send your company name and KRA PIN with the order, and both go on the invoice.
Made to order
Can I return an item that was cut or made up for me?
Anything cut or made up to your order cannot be returned unless it differs from the quote.
That covers wire rope cut to length, chain supplied to the length you asked for, and slings made up to your reach. Check the size on the quote before you pay.

Send the item, the size, the quantity, where it goes and when you need it. The quote comes back on the same thread.
